Ruehle has been with the Kings since 1989 and currently serves as the music director and organist. He also took over as the full-time organist for the Dodgers following the retirement of long-time organist, Nancy Bea.

He played organ for the Los Angeles Lakers from 2001 to 2016, forming a working relationship with Kobe Bryant. The two worked together on Bryant's podcast "The Punies".

He has also played in 5 different Olympics including Sochi.
