True North Sports and Entertainment has signed a ten year naming rights deal with Canada Life, a leading insurance and wealth management provider. The name "Canada Life Centre" will start July 1, 2021, but it will take a couple months to get all of the signage replaced.
"As True North Sports + Entertainment celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, we can't think of a more exciting way to embark upon the next ten years of our organization's journey than with a partner like Canada Life, that shares the same community commitment and passion for our great city and country," said Mark Chipman, Executive Chairman of True North Sports + Entertainment. "We are proud to call the home of our Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose Canada Life Centre and look forward to associating the Canada Life brand with exciting moments in hockey and entertainment."
Usually, we like to take this opportunity to come up with some concepts of what we think the new name will look like on ice. However, True North beat us to this by releasing their own press rendering of center ice. Still, its worth seeing how it will look on the full rink graphic.
