- Subtle Change at Oilers Center IceIn General Discussion·October 14, 2022After years of using an outdated primary logo at center ice, the Edmonton Oilers finally got a new in-lay logo with the new color scheme being used this season. It appears to be slightly larger, nearly filling up the center circle. @_TheRinks pointed out that they must have had some trouble with the install. As you can see in the photo below, as well as our recreation of the center ice, the logo is practically touching the circle on the top and bottom while having more of a white gap on the sides. Maybe they will have better luck with the install next season, but the logo looks better at center ice in the new darker colors.10123
- Bridgestone Arena Flood DamageIn General Discussion·November 29, 2022Friday morning the arena flooded due to a water main break right outside the building. Water entered into the main concourse and drained into the event level below damaging ceilings and walls. Several inches of water were throughout much of the lower level. Here are some photos from a video released by the Predators. The Predators will return to action in Bridgestone Arena on Tuesday night.10118
- Geico Goal Posts GoneIn General Discussion·November 23, 2022For the past 7 seasons, the ECHL has had a deal with Geico as the official goal post advertiser. All goal posts have been painted blue and Geico logos have been added to the posts. This deal seems to have quietly ended going into this season. We do not know if that was the end of the signed deal, or if it was terminated early. Some teams have already painted their goal posts back to red, while others are leaving them blue, but without the Geico decals. We are trying to remain accurate with these in our center ice archive. You will notice that some teams in our archive this season have red goal posts and others have blue.1057
- Seattle: Two Scoreboards better than one?In General DiscussionJuly 3, 2021I would say they are committed to never having a center-hung scoreboard during the life of the arena. That ceiling grid was not set up for one in the center.10

- Sarnia Sting old/new goal hornIn General Discussion·December 31, 2022The Sarnia Sting is installing a new goal horn that will become operational in 2023. The current goal horn was first installed in 2007 and has been in use since. The horn is from a semi-truck and is mounted in the south end of the arena between sponsorship signs. The horn is activated by a switch in the Zamboni tunnel. It will be retired in the new year. The new goal horn is a Kahlenberg KM-110 that is mounted on a truss in the south end of the arena above the Sting net. Plans are to have it fully operational by their next home game in January. It will be activated from the press box. The horn will also be the largest in the OHL. Original goal horn 2007-2022 New Horn10221
- Canadiens goal horn update 2023/01/21In General Discussion·January 22, 2023Did I notice a change to the Canadiens goal horn in tonight's game (2023/01/21) against the Leafs? I feel like they just added the missing low 'E' horn from the K3L they've been using for years, completing the chord. The horn was definitely normal last Thursday against the Panthers. I couldn't find any info about this change so far... What do you think? Have a listen; it's a bit faint but it's there! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mT02FuMxIxE10229
